MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS

DecraDrive® Coating Systems applied by Same Day Driveways Pty. Ltd is a premium residential surfacing solution that represents an investment in the beauty, durability, and overall appeal aesthetic of your driveway or pathway. It represents the gateway to your property.

To ensure the appearance and slip resistance functions maintain in order for many years to come, recommended general cleaning procedures considered “good housekeeping” should be followed.

Sweeping: In most instances, general maintenance may be undertaken via the use of a manual nylon broom or a non-commercial sweeping unit that may utilise a vacuum, water and nylon brushes. Sweeping will remove the general day to day debris, such as leaves, dirt, residue and dust.

Such units can be procured from your local hardware store and Same Day Driveways can assist with recommendations. It is imperative that brooms or units as described with steel bristles are not used under any circumstances, as the abrasive nature of these bristles can damage the coatings visual appearance and functionality.

Pressure Washing: It is highly recommended to incorporate a pressure washing schedule for your placement area to ensure that over time, contaminants such as dirt, grime, mud and other foreign particles do not inadvertently damage or stain the surface coating.

Pressure washing unit suitable for residential applications can be procured from your local hardware store and Same Day Driveways can assist with recommendations. The following pressure washing parameters should be considered:

1) A test patch should always be undertaken to ensure the desired result can be achieved without inadvertently damaging the surface.

2) Water Pressure derived from the unit should not exceed 1800 psi, and a cleaning agent is generally not required. Depending on the level of contamination being cleaned, prudent practice is to start at a low level psi output, assess the outcome and increase as is desirable.

3) The pressure cleaning lance should remain at a suitable distance from the surface, in accordance with manufacturers recommendations.

4) Any debris should be removed in accordance with regulations within your municipality.
